Answers to Your Most Common Landscaping Service Questions
Aug 19, 2025

If you’re considering partnering with GroundSystems for your commercial landscaping and snow removal needs, chances are you’ve got some questions — and you’re not alone. Our Business Development and Account Management teams hear many of the same inquiries from property managers, facility directors, and procurement teams across the region.
Here’s a quick, transparent overview of our most frequently asked questions — and our answers — so you know exactly what to expect when working with us.
How often do you prune during the season?
Most of our maintenance contracts include up to three pruning visits per season, typically spaced out based on plant material and seasonal needs. The exact number included in your proposal will be clearly stated and tailored to your property’s specific requirements.
Do you provide irrigation services?
Yes. We do offer irrigation services, but we often partner with a trusted irrigation subcontractor for start-ups, shut-downs, and major repairs. For minor adjustments, our in-house teams may make tweaks to keep your system operating efficiently as the season changes.
What day will mowing happen?
We don’t assign a fixed mowing day each week. Instead, our operations and account management teams monitor your site regularly and schedule mowing based on conditions. Expect a 7-day cycle in cooler, wetter months, and a 10–14 day cycle during hot, dry periods. This flexible approach allows us to manage your property based on actual need, not just the calendar.
Who will be my main point of contact?
You’ll have a dedicated Account Manager who will be your single point of contact throughout the year. They’ll oversee your site, conduct regular audits, and keep communication open. While our BDMs are always available, your Account Manager handles day-to-day needs and project oversight.
Do you handle turf applications and weed control?
We do! We work with trusted service partners to perform the applications and our account managers monitor the property to ensure you turf looks fantastic all season.
How long are your contracts?
Most of our landscape maintenance contracts run on a calendar-year basis, from January 1st to December 31st. We prefer multi-year contracts and many of our customers do too!
How will invoicing work?
Our preferred method of invoicing is installment invoicing. We take the contract value and divide it into installments so that your invoice amount is consistent each month. We also offer monthly per service invoicing but this can cause budget fluctuations since we do not deliver the same services each month.
